Market launch of a liquid fertilizer based on insect frass extracts
About the project
REPLOID Deutschland GmbH (formerly madebymade GmbH) is launching an new liquid fertilizer at its Pegau site (Saxony), produced from frass of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens). The product combines resource efficiency, circular economy principles, and high agronomic efficacy and is designed for use both in professional agriculture and in home gardening.
The project develops the regulatory approval and standardization strategy, produces an initial pilot batch, and designs logistics, sales, and marketing concepts for different target groups (e.g. farmers, hobby gardeners). Using an efficient extraction and conditioning process, an odorless, fast-acting plant fertilizer with biostimulant properties is obtained, which increases plants’ resilience to drought stress, heat, and diseases.
