Raw materials from insect biotechnology

By using the larvae of the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, we extract high-quality animal-based resources from organic waste, generated by the food industry and agriculture. Efficient, circular, and in an industrially scalable manner.

Dried larvae

Gently dried, whole black soldier fly larvae. The natural fatty acid profile, including a high lauric acid content, is fully preserved. The larvae are suitable for use in feed for farm animals and pets.

Protein meal

Finely ground, partially defatted meal with a high crude protein content and a broad amino acid profile. The remaining lauric acid also offers nutritional benefits for animal health. The protein meal is used in animal feed production.

Insect slurry

Thermally treated, finely ground larvae, delivered frozen in slabs (approx. 20 kg per slab). They serve as an alternative to fresh meat and can be processed directly in standard animal feed production lines using cutters and mixers.

Insect oil

It is obtained as a byproduct of larval processing and has a fatty acid profile similar to that of coconut oil. Due to its lauric acid content of over 50%, it is particularly suitable for applications that require medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs).

It has a wide range of uses, for example in animal feed applications and in industrial processes, such as in the oleochemical industry.

Insect frass

REPLOID transforms organic waste into natural soil conditioners (frass) that enhance soil life, nutrient cycles, and plant health. Through insect biotechnology, the company creates sustainable fertilizer solutions that make soils more fertile and resilient over the long term.
