Supervisory Board

Overview

REPLOID's Supervisory Board consists of eight members. To enhance the efficiency of the Supervisory Board's work and to address complex issues, two committees have been established: the Audit Committee and the Personnel and Compensation Committee.

Introduction to the Members of the Supervisory Board

Wenzel STAUB (*1954)

Wenzel Staub has been a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of REPLOID Group AG since November 2023. Prior to that, he was a co-founder of MUKI VVaG (a mutual insurance company), serving as a member of the Executive Board from 2004 to 2015 and as Chairman of the Executive Board from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, as an authorized signatory, he was responsible for establishing the insurance brokerage and services division of MUKI Handels- und Dienstleistung GmbH and held executive positions at the Austrian insurance companies MERKUR, Nordstern, Anker, and PSK VD. Wenzel Staub began his professional career in retail at Julius Meinl.

Julian HÖDLMAYR (*1990)

Julian Hödlmayr has been a member of the Supervisory Board since November 2024. In March 2024, he founded JH Consulting, where he serves as managing partner. The company specializes in advising family-owned businesses on succession planning and organizational development. Previously, Julian Hödlmayr served as Chief Operating Officer and co-partner of a private trading company. In addition, he held senior management positions at companies including Müller Drogerie Austria, Aldi UK, and Hofer KG. Julian Hödlmayr studied business administration and economics. He also completed the “Governance Excellence” executive program at the WU Executive Academy. 

Markus FRIESACHER (*1975)

Markus Friesacher has been a member of the Supervisory Board since October 2025. He is an entrepreneur and investor. His business activities are consolidated within the MF Group. These include truck fuel stations, a fuel trading company, real estate, and the long-established ceramics manufacturer Gmundner Keramik. Markus Friesacher was a successful motorsports competitor in his youth and has been active as an entrepreneur for over two decades. He also has many years of management experience, including as Senior Vice President at OMV AG. 

Thomas GANGL (*1971)

Thomas Gangl has been a member of the Supervisory Board since October 2025. He brings over 27 years of international experience in the industrial, oil & gas, and chemical sectors. In these roles, he held P&Ls responsibility for more than €10 billion and led teams of up to 7,600 employees. Thomas Gangl served as CEO of the chemical company Borealis and as Vice President of Borouge for four years.  Prior to that, he spent 13 years at OMV, including three years as a member of the Executive Board. Thomas Gangl completed his studies in chemistry and process engineering at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna), graduating with a Diplom-Ingenieur degree.

Peter HILL (*1968)

Peter Hill has been a member of the Supervisory Board since October 2024. Since that same month, he has served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GELITA AG, one of the world’s leading companies in the gelatin and collagen peptide sectors. From 2020 to 2024, he was a member of the Executive Board of SARIA (Germany) and held full financial responsibility for the Sinova business unit. Prior to that, he worked for Mars Petcare in Germany for twelve years, including approximately four years as Vice President of R&D. Peter Hill holds a PhD in Flavor and Analytical Chemistry, an MSc in Business and Organizational Psychology, and a BSc in Chemistry and Analytical Science. He holds both British and German citizenship. 

Elisabeth KÖSTINGER (*1978) 

Elisabeth Köstinger has been a member of the Supervisory Board since November 2023. A recognized expert in agriculture, the environment, and sustainability, she is active as an entrepreneur and investor and has also served on the Supervisory Board of Ryanair since April 2023. From 2017 to 2022, she was a member of the Austrian Federal Government as Federal Minister, responsible for agriculture and forestry, environmental, climate, and energy policy, as well as telecommunications and tourism. In addition, she served as Secretary General of the ÖVP and as President of the National Council. She began her political career in 2009 as a Member of the European Parliament, a position she held until 2017.

Horst Leitner (*1965)

Horst Leitner has been a member of the Supervisory Board since October 2025. He has spent nearly his entire professional career within the ALDI SÜD Group (Hofer). From 2018 to 2024, he served as Managing Director and General Partner of Hofer KG (ALDI SÜD in Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria). Prior to that, he held senior positions in purchasing in Europe and the United States, where he became the first non-American to be appointed to the Executive Board of ALDI U.S. Since 2025, Horst Leitner has served as an external consultant at Bain & Company. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Johannes SILLER (*1971)

Johannes Siller has been a member of the Supervisory Board since November 2023 and has also been an early-stage investor in Insektianer GmbH (now REPLOID Group AG) since 2020. Since 2005, he has been the founder and managing director of MapCon consulting GmbH, focusing on organizational consulting and startup investments. Prior to that, in 2000, he founded ebit eBusiness & Entwicklungs GmbH, a Linz-based software company of which he remains the owner and managing director to this day. His professional career began in 1991 as a software developer and project manager at EDV & Datenservice GmbH in Salzburg. Johannes Siller holds a Master’s degree (Mag.) in Business Informatics from Johannes Kepler University Linz.
